HASTINGS put together its best team round in six seasons during a 237-262 win over Tuckahoe at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester on May 12.

“This was one for the ages,” Hastings head coach Charles Berger said. “What a round! In my six years of coaching this is the best score we have gotten. Literally every player that came shot their best score ever.”

Justin Baldassare had a 43, followed by Oscar Hayes and Andre Anuskiewicz with a 46, Jake Hansen with a 49, Ryan Shore with a 52, and Benny Feldman with a 65.

Hastings also downed Irvington, 259-266, on May 17 at Hudson Hills Golf Course in Ossining. The victory left Hastings at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Baldassare led Hastings with a 45, followed by Hayes with a 49, Hansen with a 52, Anuszkiewicz with a 53, and Shore and Thatcher Clough each with a 60.

“We have a core group of seniors that have been on the team for several years and they have grown exponentially in that time,” Berger said. “It's a true pleasure to coach this group.”
