HASTINGS put together its best team round in six seasons during a 237-262 win over Tuckahoe at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester on May 12.
“This was one for the ages,” Hastings head coach Charles Berger said. “What a round! In my six years of coaching this is the best score we have gotten. Literally every player that came shot their best score ever.”
Justin Baldassare had a 43, followed by Oscar Hayes and Andre Anuskiewicz with a 46, Jake Hansen with a 49, Ryan Shore with a 52, and Benny Feldman with a 65.
Hastings also downed Irvington, 259-266, on May 17 at Hudson Hills Golf Course in Ossining. The victory left Hastings at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Baldassare led Hastings with a 45, followed by Hayes with a 49, Hansen with a 52, Anuszkiewicz with a 53, and Shore and Thatcher Clough each with a 60.
“We have a core group of seniors that have been on the team for several years and they have grown exponentially in that time,” Berger said. “It's a true pleasure to coach this group.”

IRVINGTON cruised to a win over Sleepy Hollow on May 13 at the Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers. C.J. Steinberg led the Bulldogs with a personal best 43, followed by Abby Vincent with a 47 and Alex Shapiro with a 48.
“Ian Brooks sunk his first birdie putt of the year on the first hole and finished with a 56,” Irvington head coach Kate Becker said.

ARDSLEY defeated Sleepy Hollow at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club on May 12 behind a 43 from Miles Cooperman. Charlie Curtin and Alec Levi each added a 44, while Vincenzo Spiniello and Jacob Friedman each had a 47. Max Weinhouse came in with a 58.
