I am writing on behalf of the First Unitarian Society of Westchester in Hastings. We are extremely grateful to the Rivertowns Enterprise for your thoughtful and thorough coverage of the flood damage at our beloved church. Tim Lamorte's photos captured not only the devastation wrought by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, but also the spirit of our congregation as we work together to rebuild.

Our liberal faith community may have lost our home, at least temporarily, but we remain intact in spirit. We are holding hybrid in-person/Zoom services; all are welcome to join us. Contact our administrator at admin@fusw.org for information. We have also launched a GoFundMe page to raise much-needed funds for flood recovery. For flood updates and to make a donation, visit www.fusw.org

The residents, businesses, and organizations of the Rivertowns are fortunate to have the Enterprise. Its coverage of local and regional concerns keeps us all well-informed. But just as important, the Enterprise is a paper with heart, caring not only for the hard news, but also for the people and institutions that make our communities feel like home.
