We are writing to thank all the voters in Hastings-on-Hudson who voted on March 16. Our election was uncontested, but despite that we worked hard to meet with our constituents, listen to their concerns, and discuss our positions on issues that are of importance to the community. What we heard reinforces our view that our upcoming term in office should focus on investing in infrastructure, improving traffic circulation and pedestrian safety, revitalizing the downtown, expanding affordable housing, rezoning the waterfront, expanding our sustainability efforts, and restoring our parks. During this next term, we will update the Comprehensive Plan and create a Climate Action Plan with broad community input. Underpinning all our actions is a firm pledge to financial stewardship and a commitment to make prudent decisions on behalf of all residents of the village. As we emerge from the pandemic our goal is to lead our village to a brighter future.
