Thomas “Bubba” Gardner of Dobbs Ferry, also known as Mooster and Spike, passed away on Monday, March 29, at age 31. 

Thomas was raised in Dobbs Ferry and graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School. He was an outstanding athlete. He was the ace on the mound for his baseball team and the captain of his state championship football team. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He also had a passion for fishing, which he called “sheeshin.” 

Thomas was a kind and caring person. He went above and beyond for the ones he loved. His warm smile and lovable personality brightened up any room. Thomas was a proud lasher for Local 1804-1 Longshoremen's Association, AFL-CIO. He was a member of the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Fire Department. 

Thomas is survived by his mother. Rosanne; his father, Gary, and Gary’s significant other, Betsy Gelardi; his grandparents Dave and Tana Ulmschneider and Ralph and Lorraine Gardner; his brothers Danny (and wife Megan), Timmy, and Brian; and by his own significant other, Natalia Alvarez Patiño. Thomas is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Mass of the Resurrection was April 7 at Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry. Visiting was April 6 at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to Shatterproof.
