Sylvia Liggio Corradina passed away on March 20, at age 96, surrounded by her family in Jupiter, Fla. 

Before moving to Florida, Sylvia was a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, where she raised nine children. She was a member of the American Legion and the Dobbs Ferry Senior Center and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed bingo, music, puzzles, and watching church masses on TV. She made most of her children’s meals from scratch. 

Sylvia was the center of her family. She is survived by her children Albert Corradina, Linda Bozza, Gina Spetter, Anthony Corradina, Jimmy Corradina, Gino Corradina, and Christina Dilacio; her sisters Lucy and Josephine; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gino Corradina; her sons Robert "Bobby" Corradina and Raymond Corradina; her brothers Tony, Johnny, and Jimmy; and her sisters Grace and Antoinette.

On April 24, a memorial service was held at St. Patrick's Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., followed by a service at AYCOCK Funeral Home in Jupiter.

On May 21, visiting will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry. On May 22,  there will be a memorial mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 417 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, followed by inurnment at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.

In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry.
