Pauline Calace-Mottolalifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry, passed away peacefully in her sleeoThursday, Sept. 3, at age 86.

Pauline was educated in the Ardsley School District from kindergarten through higschool. She graduated from SUNY Cortland and then received a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She was a member of the Ardsley Historical Society and attended ScarsdalCongregational Church.

Pauline worked in the Islip School District on Long Island and then moved to the Ossining Union Free School District where she taught third grade untiheretirement. She participated in travel study tours about education anenjoyed visiting new places.

Pauline was predeceaseby her twin sister, Janet Calace-Mottola, in June 2015 and her older brother, Joseph Calace-Mottola, in May 2014. She is survived by her sister-in-law and three nieces.

Wake anfuneraarrangements will be held tomorrow (Sept. 12), from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (memorial service at 12:30 p.m.) at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
