Helen Anbinder

Helen Anbinder, a resident of Dobbs Ferry for more than half a century, died Nov. 8 at St. John's Riverside Hospital after a long illness. 

She was born Helen Rabinowitz in New York City on Jan. 17, 1942, the daughter of Irving Rabinowitz and Mollie Silberberg and sister of Roberta Ostrow. She attended public schools in Brooklyn and then matriculated at Cornell University at age 16. She earned her bachelor's degree in January 1963, and then attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
