Lifelong Dobbs Ferry resident Don Anthony Tarricone passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, at age 73.

Don was born in Yonkers on March 12, 1947 to parents Anthony and Mary Tarricone. He was the youngest of three children. He is survived by his brother, Vito Tarricone, and sister, Louise Allen (née Tarricone).

Don was a respected businessman and a pillar of Dobbs Ferry. He loved his town and he grew a successful family business, Tarricone Fuel Service and Tarricone Realty, with his brother and best friend, Vito. He was also a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in combat in the Vietnam War.

Don was the adored and treasured husband to Karyn, who he affectionately called “Cookie.” He was the loving father to Anthony (Samantha) Tarricone, Valerie (Scott) Trefny, Dana (Lamar) Tarricone Johnson, and Cara (fiancé Matt VanBelle) Tarricone. He was the cherished grandfather to Kate, Natalie, Luke, Lucy, and Molly. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jeannie Delhay, and Karyn’s extended family and friends.
